Well, today was/is my 27th birthday. It was a rather interesting day, from me having a decent morning, to a horrible afternoon, to a decent night. Luckily, no one was killed in today’s festivities and the Twevman scored a little cabbage to go to the Ren Faire this weekend with Jess. All in all, a good day.
So what’s it feel like to be 27 as opposed to 26? No different. Although technically I won’t be 27 until 10:35pm tonight. So I have about 45 more minutes to enjoy 26 and reflect before I have to leave it behind. All I can really say about this year’s birthday was that it was nice to have someone care about me again besides my immediate family. Jess came up on Sunday, make me this incredible chocolate cake, and baked me a whole chicken…that’s right folks…a whole freakin’ chicken! I’m telling you…you’ve gotta love this woman!
As for anything productive today, well, the only thing I really got done was part of my fishtank. Jess’s mom gave me some money to help fund The Fish Tank of Doom, so I put that money to use today by acquiring 50lbs of gravel for the bottom. As for the rest of my exciting night, I think I’m going to talk to Jess a bit more, finish up some dishes, and then read a good book and go to bed. Yes, I know you wish you had this exciting of a life too.
