I was going though some old drafts on the backend of this site this afternoon trying to tidy things up. As I was going through them, I was curious about how many posts I have made. Including this post, I have made 1,321 posts that I have been able to archive. As I have said before, there are a lot of posts that were lost due to the early days of this site not being posted to a database. It was the technology that I had access to back then and I never in my wildest dreams thought this site would still be around 11 years later.
So what does 1,321 posts mean? If you do the math, that means I have made a post approximately every 3 days for 11 years. I am confident that if I was able to account for all of those lost posts, that average number would remain about the same.
I still regret not being able to access those posts from the early days of the site, but I am happy with what I have been able to recover over the years.
I do have to say that for someone who complains that I don’t posts nearly enough, 1 post every 3 days makes me think that maybe I’m not as lax as I thought I was.
