Trying to remember if the external drive enclosure I bought for my Mac Mini back in 2008 came with feet, or to be more precise, a stand. I’m using it now as my PLEX storage drive and it’s sitting on the component stand. The stand has all glass shelves so the sound of the HD spinning is sending those vibrations right through the glass making a terrible humming noise. Since the Mac Mini is practically silent, I’d like the HD to be as quite as possible.
I bought it at Circuit City so there’s no record of it in my NewEgg history. I looked at every picture I took of it on Flickr when I was setting it up but no dice. If it did have a stand and I never used it, it should have ended up in the bottom drawer of my filing cabinet. I’ll have to head upstairs later and take a look. If not, I’m going to have to fashion something myself. Or buy another enclosure. And a bigger hard drive. Mmmmm…new toys.
