The Rumors Of My Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated.

Wow! It’s been over 2 months since my last post. I do believe that is a record in the 13 year history of this site.

So what have I been doing? Living life. I haven’t made a single blog post nor a YouTube video because I have been busy spending time with my family. Summer is unique since my wife is a teacher and gets the summers off. It’s a time where we get to spend a lot of time together (for better or worse) and do some fun things together. So what kind of fun stuff have we been up to? Well, Jack completed Kindergarten Kamp. He had a blast going for 4 days to meet the teachers and some of his to be class mates. We’ve done a fair amount of swimming. We’ve spent some quality time with my parents. We got to throw, in conjunction with Jess’s sisters, a surprise retirement party for her mom. We went to Knoebels and Jack got to go on a lot of big rides he was too small for last year. He loved the Cosmotron but did not like the wooden roller coasters. ‘Too fast and scary’ he said. And Jess and I have gotten to spend a lot of time together after the kids go to bed. We sit up and talk, read, or watch a really cheesy scary movie.

So with summer coming to a slow close, what do I see in our future? We’re going to start getting ready soon for Jess and Jack to go to school. We have my cousin’s wedding to go to in early September in Alexandria, Va. We’re leaving the kids with her sister Brandi and going to make a nice weekend of it by spending some time in D.C. before and after the wedding. Should be a good time!

Well that’s it for now. Both Jess and Addy are down with a nasty stomach bug, so it’s unclear if I am going to be able to make it into work tonight. I may have to stay home and take care of my girls. We’ll see what happens in the next 2 hours or so.

But like the fat kid in dodge ball, I’m outa here!
