Winter Storm Linus

So we are in the midst of a winter storm — Winter Storm Linus to be exact. With this storm comes snow, sleet, and freezing rain, not to mention a wicked cold front behind it. Is it a coincidence that it’s named Linus, and Linus Torvalds created Linux who’s mascot is a penguin? Ok…maybe I’m reading a little too much into this. Yeah…probably.

So the totals have been all over the place. It started with 4-8, then 6-12, then 8-12, then 4-8, and now 5-8. It seems to be changing every few hours. The reason is for this is because everyone agrees that this is going to turn to a nice icy mix somewhere, but no one is sure when and how it’ll effect the snowfall totals. So what’s The Weather Channel think about it right now?

So as you can see we’re firmly in the 5-8 band. So what’s The Official Twev1701 Forecast? Snow. Duh. Seriously. Snow. Oh, how much? I’m thinking around 4-6 inches personally. If I had to put down a number it would be 4 inches. But, given that some forecasts even have it changing to ice and then back to snow, it’s really anyone’s call. For once I really don’t care about it. I called my sister tonight and my nephew is already on tap to shovel my snow for $$. I used to do the same thing when I was his age and I am more then welcome to continue the tradition. Plus it’s a lot easier on my back to hand over a few bill then shoveling for an hour or so. Jess’s school has already closed, we’ve got tons of Disney Infinity 2.0 figures to break in, so I say let it snow as much as it wants to!
